What did he do for a living?

Benjamin Banneker did many things for a living. He made a clock entirely out of wood.
He had published an almanac but stopped publishing them due to the poor sales that were going on. He had helped with the sketch's of building our capital, Washington D.C.
He was the first African American mathematician and astronomer. Benjamin Banneker was very successful in his life.

Sounds like he was a really smart man. I never really heard of him before your project, so you are teaching me a lot.
